Lindsey Morgan was a member of Coastal Carolina University's first class of Teaching Fellows, earning her bachelor's degree in English with a minor in creative writing in 2018 and her Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in English the following year. She then taught at Marion High School for three years, where she developed connections that continue to this day.

After moving to North Carolina, Lindsey became a college and career specialist, guiding students in an alternative high school setting as they explored career pathways and prepared for life after graduation. Following the school's closure, she accepted a position with USC Upstate in Spartanburg as an academic advisor. In this role, she continues helping students map out and achieve their future goals.

Lindsey credits Coastal Carolina University and Spadoni College of Education & Social Sciences with "making me the empathic leader I am today," adding that those experiences "gave me the tools to adapt to every situation and lead with care first."

PRESERVING HISTORY WHILE CREATING OPPORTUNITIES 🏆

Congratulations to Horry County Museum Director Walter Hill on being named one of Coastal Carolina University’s 2026 Changemakers!

Hill was recognized during CCU’s A Taste for Learning fundraiser for his longstanding partnership with the CCU Spadoni College of Education & Social Sciences Department of Anthropology and Geography and his commitment to providing students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities.

Through internships and real-world museum experiences in areas such as collections management, curation, interpretation, education, and public programming, Hill has helped countless students gain practical skills and professional experience.

We’re proud to see Walter’s dedication recognized and grateful to have him on . Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

We had a great time welcoming elementary, intermediate, and middle school students to campus for Teal Youth Days! They enjoyed fun activities, laughter, and lasting memories with their student mentors.

Throughout the school year, CCU students from all majors serve as positive role models for local K–8 students through the Dalton and Linda Floyd Family Mentoring Program, building meaningful connections that encourage confidence, support, and growth.
