Lucy is a former 211 student of Dr. Thompson and is currently in her first semester of the ADN program. She is a superlative student who is active in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the National Student Nurse Association. Upon graduation from the ADN Program, Lucy plans to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner with a focus on women's health issues. On Wednesday evening, she plans to discuss strategies for being successful as an ADN student.

A special “Thank You” to HGTC nursing student Tyler Bowen for coming and speaking with Dr. Thompson’s BIO 211 students and members of the Science Club. Tyler spoke about his experiences while earning his associates in science and the course rigors of the nursing program. Great presentation Tyler, very informative!

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences would like to take the opportunity to recognize and honor the memory of Peter Le. Peter was the President of the SIM (Scientist In the Making) Club and was working towards completing his last semester to obtain an Associate in Science degree before entering the Horry Georgetown Technical College ADN program. Peter was a devoted student, friend and mentor and will be greatly missed by the faculty, staff and student body members. Rest in peace Peter, thank you, for the great memories, laughter and inspiration that you shared with us all.
