Ress Family Hospital Performance Project

Ress Family Hospital Performance Project Creating Positive Musical Experiences in Miami Healthcare Facilities Since 2002

Funded by Lewis and Esta Ress of North Miami in 2002, the Ress Project’s main goal is to introduce live music performances as a positive influence in the hospital setting. While these performances do not constitute music therapy, they do offer multiple benefits, such as stress relief and anxiety reduction. For the past 20 years we have been bringing the gift of music to patients who love and appre

ciate music. Don't miss out on this rewarding opportunity made possible by the Ress family in collaboration with Frost School of Music. Last Friday was a very special Ress Project performance - our inaugural performance at UHealth Solé Mia ! Charlie Schmitt, trumpet, Forrest Fowler, guitar, and Ben Mini, bass, brought a program of jazz classics to the lobby of Solé Mia, and patients, staff, and families alike enjoyed tunes to start their morning on their way to and from medical appointments. The trio even got to meet with the Ress family, who generously funds all of our outreach performances. Thank you to Solé Mia for welcoming the Ress Project, and thank you to our musicians for sharing your gifts!
