That's a dynasty. After a point differential of 111-24 through five games, the brothers of Beta are your 2017 Fall IFC Flag Football Champions. This being the 18th straight win and third straight football championship for the Dragons.

Quarterback Kevin Togami found Neal Guaglianone in the end zone to start off the scoring in the first half. Cody Stone capitalized the extra point with a nice catch falling out of bounds. In the second half, Roddy Robertson made a great diving INT to set the tone. Few plays later, Togami found Tim Riley way downfield for a 50 yard bomb TD to seal the Dragons 13-0 victory. Peter Caride also added 2 INT in a great team win against SAE. Beta will compete for the All-Campus Championship tonight at 9 PM.

After a long hiatus, BOTW is back. This week's brother of the week is Kevin Togami (aka Toga). Kevin is a senior from Ewa Beach, Hawaii. He is studying Sports Administration but hopes to head to law school in the near future.

Over the last year, Toga has been working at a premiere sports marketing agency which represents NFL players.

Despite his short stature, Kevin is known for his freak athleticism; even commonly being compared to Spud Webb and Marcus Mariota. Along with his athleticism, Kevin has a relentlessly competitive nature that is complimented by his seven intramural championships as Athletic Director for the Dragons.

Toga also competed for the University of Miami Boxing team at nationals in 2017 in the championship for his weight class. Keep it up Toga and Aloha.

The brothers of Beta would like to congratulate the beautiful Anastasia Novak for being named Beta Sweetheart. We are so thankful for Coach Stas, who recently led Beta to an Anchor Bowl football championship and overall first place in Delta Gamma's philanthropy. Couldn't have done it without you!

This week's brother of the week is Akhil Parlapalli. Akhil is a junior from Princeton, New Jersey who is studying Economics but plans to go to medical school.

Akhil has been our philanthropy chair for the past semester and has done an outstanding job. Not only has he raised more money in total than any previous philanthropy chair, but he has also led us to win 2 sorority philanthropies in the past few months. Besides his philanthropy work, Akhil is a role model of the chapter. He is always giving good advice and challenging the chapter to progress.

Outside the Beta chapter, Akhil is a leader on campus with his dynamic role on Canes Care for Canes and his role on Presidents 100. Akhil is also a backup on track and field for the javelin throwing, a sport he picked up in high school.

Akhil recently led Eta Beta to raising $19,000 for Jimmy V through our spring philanthropy, You Beta Dance.

"It means a lot to me that I was able to lead a fraternity to raising 19 grand in the name of cancer research. As I do want to become a doctor, the cause to find the cure is very important to me. Although oncology interests me, my true medical passion is in orthopedics."

Great job Akhil!

This week's brother of the week is Adam Levy. Adam is a junior from Chicago, Illinois. He is a chemistry major with a finance minor who really has a passion for what he is studying.

Besides just being an all around stud, Adam spends a lot of time researching nanochemistry in his research lab on the campus of the University of Miami. He also shows great leadership as he is a TA for a freshman chemistry class and has held back to back positions on the executive board for the Eta Beta chapter. Along with his passion for chemistry, Adam loves to tend to his luscious hair or as he calls it, his "head lettuce." Along with his locks of beauty, Adam brings nothing but pure trendsetting style to the chapter; his most recent trend being Jort overalls and a cowboy hat.

"Being the brother of the week means a lot to me. I strive to be a leading force of the chapter each week by putting in my work and giving out new ideas. I guess the chapter saw this in me as the reelected me for exec after my year as Ritual Chair. "

Currently serving as the Vice President of Eta Beta, Adam has worked hard to create brotherhood events to better unify the chapter. Together with his wild spirit and contagiously happy presence, Adam serves the chapter well by always bringing the fun out in everything! Way to go Adam.

This week's brother of the week is Tim Riley. Tim is a Sophomore from Mansfield, Massachusetts. He has spent the last 2 years studying both Entrepreneurship and Sports Administration, but recently has been trying to figure out how the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead to his Patriots.
Tim prides himself on his athletic ability, being a key member of the Beta basketball, baseball, and football team. His natural ability and height advantage at reciever aided the dragons all season. He led the Dragons to the Greek and All-Campus championship, where he scored a touchdown and got an interception in each game. Along with his outstanding football performance, he also dominated the basketball court; barely missing a triple double with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists in the IFC Basketball finals win versus Sigma Chi. His dominance on the court stems from his 6’6 frame and ability to drain from beyond the ark.
Not only is he a great athlete, he is also the current Social Chair and assistant PR Chair for the Eta Beta chapter.
"So far being the social chair has been tough but rewarding. Its great seeing my brothers and other people having fun at our social events, it makes it worth it.” Tim had the idea for Beta Watch, and he is constantly reminding everyone to "trust the process."
Tim’s dream job is to work for an NBA organization or own his own company, but either way just hopes to "make bank and drive a Range Rover.”

This week's brother of the week is Chris Schenker. Chris is a Sophomore from Hopkinton, Massachusetts. He is majoring in Applied Physics and Computer Science and is the current Rush Chair for Eta Beta chapter. Chris is also the current Treasurer for Scuba Club at Miami and frequently dives off the coast of Florida.

Along with being only 1 of 3 Miami Beta's who doesn't skip leg day, Chris dedicates a lot of time maintaining one of the highest GPAs in the chapter. Outside of campus, Chris likes to spend time working out his glamour muscles. Recently, Chris entered a body building competition and placed 2nd.

Despite his uncanny genetic build,
Chris claims that his true passions come in academics.
"My studies are very important to me. Since childhood I knew that I wanted to work in Applied Physics. My dream is to work with foreign countries to establish renewable energy sources."

Chris' hard work as Rush Chair truly paid off. Under his guidance 27 Schenker certified pledges joined the Eta Beta Chapter. Great job Chris!

This weeks brother of the week is Neal Guaglianone (A.K.A. Nice Guy Neal). Neal is a Junior from Philadelphia majoring in Finance.
Neal is known around UM (and the Grove) for his dashing good looks and his dazzling charm.

Despite his affection for awful NBA teams, Neal plays an integral role on most of Beta's athletic teams; being the leading scorer in football and soccer as well as the top benchwarmer on the basketball court. Beyond the field, Neal's leadership skills have carried over to his role as President of Beta Theta Pi.

"Being the President of Beta has truly shown me the importance of being a team player. We consistently have to work together to complete our chapter goals. I treat the position as if I am a team captain, leading everyone to win the game of life we are all playing"
