Lambda Chi Alpha - The Refounding of the Oldest Chapter at the U.
This Spring Rush 2020. We are seeking a few of the right men - Leaders looking for brotherhood who will build a legacy that will last past their years. This fraternity will not be the same old “frat.”

The chapter is highly selective; looking for the right man, who fits in with the brothers. Men who have great grades, are involved on campus, and interested in service. Men who can have fun… but understand that parties are a BENEFIT of joining the brotherhood, NOT THE PURPOSE of the fraternity. Not your typical “Frat.”

No Hazing. Heck, no pledging either. When you select the right people, you don’t need either. Once vetted and selected, Associate Members get “Voice and Vote” immediately. That means you have the same rights and responsibilities as every brother. Just like LXA’s Founders did it back in Boston in 1909, and our chapters’ Founders did it here at the U in 1927. Full initiation happens at the end of February.

The chapter will be actively involved in philanthropy, intramurals, and of course, have an active social calendar. Additionally, we will continue the regular networking with the deepest and most supportive alumni base of any fraternity on campus.

We have a rolling admissions process that involves an application process and will be continuing to associate the right men through this semester to fill the Refounding Class.

Originally started in 1927, just two years after the founding of the University itself, "Lambda" has been in continuous operation since. Yesterday some of our brothers had the amazing opportunity to meet Canes legend and first round NFL draft pick Phillip Buchanon! Phillip let us beta test his new app and also shared some incredible stories of the Canes 2001 national championship team

Despite the rain, we had an extremely successful Watermelon Bust. This year we raised a record high 1800lbs of food for Feeding South Florida! Special thanks to all of the competing teams, and Congrats to the sisters of Delta Delta Delta for winning our philanthropy!
