We were honored to welcome SUNY - The State University of New York Chancellor John B. King Jr. for a visit to our Spencer Hill campus yesterday as part of the SUNY Reconnect Tour.

The visit included a roundtable discussion with various members of our campus and local community, including SUNY CCC students, faculty, administration, board of trustees, local and state officials, and representatives from Corning Inc. and USW Local 1000.

Following the roundtable, Chancellor King went on a campus tour, which featured the College's Mechatronics labs and Makerspace.

The visit also highlighted SUNY Reconnect, New York State’s free community college initiative. SUNY Reconnect is designed to help adult learners return to school to earn an associate degree in high-demand fields that are essential to the state’s economy.

Coach Horne comes to Spencer Hill after a spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Misericordia University. During that time, he helped the team go 54-33 and secure back-to-back postseason appearances.
