It is with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of one of our TAMUCC AT Program Alumni, Roberto Garza. Robert and another Athletic Trainer were on their way to SPATS to attend an athletic training conference. We send our most sincere condolences to the Garza family! πŸ’šπŸ’™

The San Benito CISD sports and educational family were deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of athletic trainers Robert Garza and Raul Ramos.

Garza served as the athletic trainer at San Benito High School, and Ramos served in the same capacity at San Benito Veterans Memorial Academy. They were valued members of our district’s Athletic Department and will be greatly missed by both colleagues and students.

β€œWe lost great men today,” said Athletic Director/Head Coach Dan Gomez.

β€œWe were deeply saddened to learn about the death of two of our very own. We extend our most sincere and deepest condolences to the Garza and Ramos families. They will be in our thoughts and prayers,” said Theresa Servellon, Interim Superintendent of Schools.

Counselors will be available to both students and staff beginning at 8:00 AM this upcoming Monday morning at the San Benito High School sport complex.
