Not only is becoming an officer a great way to improve your leadership, communication, and organizational skills, it’s also a great resume builder by showing future job and grad school application committees that you took initiative during undergrad to become involved and give back to the community. Vice President- scheduling, send out announcements on iengage, and respond to student questions
Secretary- Document member points on the master spreadsheet and respond to student questions
Volunteer coordinator- seek out volunteer opportunities by reaching out to local nonprofits
Treasurer- Monitor chapter spending
For those of you who haven’t been to a meeting, you’re probably wondering, “what do we do in Golden Key”? Here are some of the activities:
-Volunteering (big event, local nonprofits, islander lights, and much more!)
-Canned goods, toy, or book drives
-Chapter Meetings
-New member recognition event (a ceremony to recognize new members)
-Making new friends!
