Islander Cultural Alliance

Islander Cultural Alliance ICA is a student led organization that supports the Community and Belonging office at TAMU-CC.

Founded in 2012, ICA supports the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s commitment to embracing difference and promoting increased knowledge of diversity and its significance as a constitutive value of the University community. Further, ICA provides cultural programming to promote mutual respect and attributes of global citizenship on the part of students from all backgrounds.

Tomorrow is the day! 🐎✨⁠

Join ICA and FSA as we celebrate the year of the Horse with performances by the Corpus Christi Taiko Club and the Filipino Student Association Cultural Dance Team. We will also have the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Table teaching calligraphy and an educational booth on the traditional Lion Dance. ⁠

We will have red envelopes to give away and many riddles to solve to win prizes. 🧧⁠

Join Islander Cultural Alliance (ICA) as we celebrate and honor the effort and contributions of students, faculty, staff, TAMU-CC alumni, and local community members who promote the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. through their dedication to community service, social justice, and/or civil rights at TAMUCC or in the surrounding community.⁠

We are honored to celebrate three individuals who have been chosen for this award: ⁠

Chidera Iwuagwu – Graduate Student, MS in Professional Counseling⁠
Dr. Patricia Spaniol-Mathews – Director of STEM Operation Success, College Access and Outreach ⁠
Aída Almanza-Ferro – Student Success Librarian, Mary and Jeff Bell Library⁠
