Be a Trivia Team Leader for the Benton County National Public Health Week Celebration: Tues, April 2nd, 6-8pm

The OSU Student Public Health Association (formerly the Public Health Club) has a special opportunity to get involved with the Benton County Health Department's annual National Public Health Week event: on Tuesday, April 2nd from 6-8pm in the Corvallis Public Library.

Our county health department staff are planning a fun event and want to engage students in leadership roles for the event. We need outgoing CPHHS students, all levels welcome, to lead public health trivia teams: Basically you'd lead a team of community members in the trivia game, help facilitate discussion of the trivia question, write your team's answer on the slates, and cheer for your teams and others. The trivia game will focus on local harm reduction information. You don't have to know the answers to be a leader. In fact, it's better if you don't know the answers. :)

If you commit to being a trivia team leader, you will be provided with a valuable networking and professional development opportunity. You will meet many health department staff and a variety of public health professionals and community members from across Benton County.

Feel too shy? Volunteer with a friend. You two can lead a team together. Or we can partner you up with a new friend. Regardless, you'll be there with a group of us and we'll be there to help you out.

Please email Aimee Snyder ([email protected]) if you're interested in leading a trivia team. Email your interest by Wednesday of Week 10. We will coordinate a "training" meeting.
