Mental health and wellness are essential for a thriving OSU community. Through OSU’s partnership with Lyra Health, employees and their dependents can access coaching, therapy, and personalized care options that recognize and respect cultural, social, and individual diversity.
Lyra’s network includes providers from many different backgrounds, allowing employees to connect with someone who understands their unique experiences and identities. This helps create a more inclusive and affirming space for communities that have often faced barriers to mental health care.

Millions of cancer survivors in the United States face challenges accessing the full care and support they need. At OSU, researchers, led by Dr. Jessica Gorman, are working to make cancer care more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Inclusive cancer care works to identify and implement strategies to support cancer survivors and their loved ones across the cancer continuum, so that every patient, no matter their background, has the chance to thrive.

There is a growing reality of more frequent and severe wildfires, and, often times, when nature disaster hit, it is marginalized communities that are more impacted. This is why Adapting to Wildfire Across Oregon centers centers community resilience and inclusive excellence in their mission.

Through the OSU Extension Fire Program, six regional fire specialists live and work in their service areas, bringing expertise in local ecology and fire history to collaborate with communities and agency partners on wildland fire outreach, education, fire adaptation strategies, and efforts to reduce fuels and restore ecosystems.

By working alongside marginalized and vulnerable populations, the program supports more equitable pathways to preparedness, recovery, and long-term resilience for everyone in wildfire prone areas across Oregon.
