Dr. Jennifer Duringer has been promoted to Associate Professor, Senior Research. Dr. Jennifer Duringer is a food safety toxicologist in the Department of Environmental & Molecular Toxicology whose work examines the biochemical effects, mechanisms of toxicity and biotransformation of plant and fungal compounds in humans and animals; investigates the potential of naturally produced fungal contaminants in plant hosts to act as pest deterrents; and characterizes ecotypes of pathogenic fungi for improving disease management and safety in crops. Dr. Duringer is also Director of the Endophyte Service Laboratory where she works collaboratively with producers, livestock managers and other agricultural stakeholders in the shared vision of maintaining a safe global feed/food supply. Congratulations Dr. Duringer!

Ryan Lopez has been promoted to Senior Faculty Research Assistant I. Ryan received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and his M.S. in Toxicology from Oregon State University. He has been an employee at the Tanguay Laboratory since 2018 and became the Fish Room manager in 2022. In this role, Ryan established the cryopreservation of all zebrafish lines in the facility, supports the high throughput screening operations, and maintains the Specific Pathogen Free status that contributes to SARL's international recognition. Congratulations Ryan!

Caoilinn Haggerty has been promoted to Senior Faculty Research Assistant I. Caoilinn is a Senior Faculty Research Assistant I in Dr. Anderson’s Lab. In the lab, he primarily handles the wet chemistry, standards, and sample prep, as well as help out wherever needed. In addition, they manages the SRC Chemical Standards Store. Outside of work, he can be found outside enjoying all of Oregon’s nature. Congratulations Caoilinn!
