Black winged-stilt

The bird is widely distributed all around the world ,with long- legged wader in the avocete and stilt family, and it placed under the scientific name Himantopus , the specie are almost cosmopolitan.
Habitat preferred by the bird are freshwater , saltwater ,lakes and rivers and other habitat can contain it welfer.
The bird feed on aquatic insects, molluscs and algae files.
The bird lay from 3-5 eggs, both parent's share for incubation and taking care of hatched chick's .
Due to the recent studies by some wildlife conservationists in Africa the bird is increasing in number and it is not facing any threats.
