Mount Aloysius College proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of a newly renovated Veterans Lounge in Ihmsen Hall! This dedicated space is designed to support and serve our veteran and military-affiliated students. Thank you to the Mountie veterans who helped shape this welcoming space for connection, study, and success, and to all those on campus who work hard to make the Mount a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs School of Excellence.

Exciting things are happening in DuBois! Today we announced the launch of a new nursing program in DuBois designed to address the ongoing shortage of health care providers in rural communities. Students can apply now for pre-nursing courses starting this Fall!

The initiative is supported through a new collaboration between the Mount and Penn Highlands Healthcare, who will provide significant funding for these new nursing students, along with guaranteed job placement upon graduation, for the associates of nursing degree. President John McKeegan and Mr. William Chinn, President of Penn Highlands Healthcare DuBois, are pictured signing the agreement.

The Mount will lease space in the Swift Building on the current Penn State DuBois campus to host its pre-nursing courses, as well as courses for its two current DuBois offerings - surgical technology and radiography.

This initiative is designed to support local students, adult learners, and career changers while helping meet critical workforce needs across the region.

We expect courses to fill up quickly, so apply now! Learn more at www.mtaloy.edu/dubois.

As we lead up to Founders’ Day on May 14th, we are wanting to feature a generational Mountie family!

Meet Morgan and Cortney Langerholc! Cortney is a proud grad of ’10 and ’17, and her daughter Morgan is set to graduate in 2028.
The Langerholc’s experiences at the Mount highlight the College as both a place of belonging and a foundation for lifelong purpose.

Cortney Langerholc reflects, “When I look back on my journey at the Mount, I can trace everything I've become to the doors that this college opened for me. It wasn't just a place where I earned a degree; it was a place that awakened a calling inside of me. Here I found people who believed in me, experiences that shaped me, and the confidence to step into a profession that has become my life's greatest fulfillment. This college did not just prepare me for a career; it prepared me for a purpose....and for that, I am eternally grateful.”

Morgan shares, “I chose the Mount because of how welcoming it felt whenever I toured. Everyone was so friendly and genuine, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of a campus that exhibited those values. I knew immediately that I could see myself fitting in at the Mount, and choosing to come to this school was the best decision I've made.”

Join us on Founders’ Day to help make a difference for all future Mounties!
