This advanced two-day course is designed to train higher education administrators, public safety officials, and community partners in crisis management principles using a whole community approach.
You will explore risk management strategies, effective crisis communications, and emergency operations planning concepts as outlined in the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
The course integrates case studies, facilitated discussions, and practical exercises to help you identify gaps in your current crisis management programs.
The training culminates in a simulated role-play exercise designed to test response coordination and decision-making under pressure.
β’ Participants must be U.S. citizens.
β’ A FEMA Student Identification (SID) is required to register.

TEEX staff can assist with Student ID creation upon arrival. Prior attendance approval from the host jurisdiction may be required.

Delivered by the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC), Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC).
