Consider nominating an alum for the 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻, the 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, and/or the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 at doane.edu/awards!

We know that a lot of our Tiger alumni have been stepping up and helping others—in any way possible—during these physical, emotional, and financially trying times. But we know there are a lot of stories we still haven't heard, too.

If you know of a Doane alum that should be nominated for an Alumni Award and officially recognized for their societal contributions, please let us know at doane.edu/awards by May 22nd!

Other awards to consider include the 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 and 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 Awards, both of which are just as meaningful—if not more so—this year due to the online barriers educators faced. Go to doane.edu/awards to nominate an alum by May 22nd!

National Nurses Day is three weeks away (May 6th), and we're hoping to feature stories from our alumni that are working as nurses.

We appreciate all nurses—now more than ever—and would love to highlight the incredible jobs our Tiger alums are doing in the nursing field.

Nurses: Share YOUR story and photo(s) at doane.edu/alumni-nurses by April 30th to be featured on May 6th!

[VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT] It's been a busy week for Sarah (McBride) Baker '97 of Omaha, as she puts her sewing skills to work for local healthcare workers during COVID-19. A volunteer call went out to the Omaha metropolitan area and more than 1500 sewing enthusiasts donated their time and resources to create 10,000 reusable mask covers for Nebraska Medicine. Sarah jumped at the opportunity, and now she's busy with her next volunteer sewing project...Let's hear it for Sarah!
