Formerly CSUM's Dept of C&C, as Cal Poly Solano English, our award-winning faculty continue to offer courses in literature, art, writing, speech and humanities. The Department of Culture and Communication houses Cal Maritime’s programs in the arts and humanities. Members of the faculty are dedicated to teaching and research in diverse fields such as maritime literature, oceanic studies, rhetoric a

nd composition, technical writing, film and new media. C&C faculty teach courses in literature and the arts, writing, and foreign languages.
