"A typical day could be 8 to 9 patients, sometimes more both echo and vascular, some days helping in the stress lab, and EKGs on the floor as well."

Most people have been hooked up to an EKG at least once in their life. But behind the monitor is a trained professional making sure every reading is accurate.

EKG Techs are responsible for proper electrode placement, observing cardiac rhythms, and catching changes that doctors need for diagnoses. Even a small positioning error can affect the results.

This is an impactful career that is faster to enter than most people realize.
