We ❤️ our Bevis Center folks! We look forward to keeping our partnerships strong and their continued success.

The Carvle Bevis Education Center is celebrating 5 amazing years! What started as a generous donation from Stan & Winnette Bevis has turned into such a blessing for so many local students and families! We can never thank Rena Purdy and the Wayne County Joint Economic Community Development Board enough for persuading us to combine this act of kindness from the Bevis family with an education grant that has afforded so many students with local educational opportunities over the last five years.

Thank you to the City of Collinwood, City Manager Gary Victory, Mayor Glenn Brown, and the Collinwood City Commissioners for your unwavering commitment to education. We are so blessed to have you as a community partner who goes above and beyond for any BEC needs...from A/C and heat issues to broken pipes to mowing/weedeating and much more, the City of Collinwood employees take good care of us! We appreciate you all so much!

Thank you to our post-secondary partners at Columbia State Community College, TCAT Crump, and TCAT Hohenwald who have been there from the beginning...even before we really even knew what the BEC could eventually become. Earning post-secondary credits and hours with CSCC and TCAT Crump while in high school has saved many students time and money in their post-secondary college and career paths. Being able to complete an LPN program in the evening while still maintaining day jobs with little travel involved has changed the lives of 35 adult LPN graduates and 15 more who will graduate in March 2027.

Thank you to our local CTE education partner at Wayne County Technology Center with Dr. Lisa Thompson leading the way. Thanks also to Wayne County Schools and Dr. Ricky Inman, Director of Schools, for your continued support. Thank you to the Wayne County school board members who have believed in and supported our mission. Thanks to our middle school and high school teachers and other school staff we work with in Wayne County as well as the amazing counselors and Ayers counselors at each school. Wayne County Schools are so blessed to have these talented and caring individuals in their corner!

Thank you to our local industry partners who provide tours, guidance, and whatever else we need....usually at the last minute. We love our local communities and their support for education and the next generation!

Lastly, thank you so much to the amazing BEC staff who have gone above and beyond since we opened in the Fall of 2021. Educators are truly special people whose main driving force is helping others succeed. I can honestly say that the BEC would not be what it is today without the staff we assembled that complement each other so well. Those special individuals and their time at the BEC include: Connie Brewer (5 years), Jan Nelson (5 Years), Heather Warren (5 Years), Lee Ann Staggs (4 Years), Jennifer Morris (3 Years), Kensey Howe Wright (2 Years). We have also been blessed to have Nancy Berry as our TCAT Hohenwald LPN instructor since October 2021. We have lost Jan, Lee Ann, and Kensey, and we will be losing Nancy in just a few short months to retirement. The BEC staff will look much different in the coming years, but we hope the mission will always remain the same.

Thank you to Collinwood and Wayne County for your positive comments and support. We love being a small part of all the wonderful things happening here! Thank you for 5 incredible years!

See photo comments below for an unfolded trifold brochure with more information about our services. We were not able to tag all of our partners in this post so please feel free to tag yourself and share.
