WCU Advising Center Just your friendly neighborhood advisors, ready to assist with any academic support!!! Walkins: Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm

Located in Killian Annex, the Advising Center offers comprehensive academic advising to undeclared and declared undergraduate students. Advisors help students to select proper courses, to choose careers and appropriate majors, to understand university academic policies and procedures, and to cope with the transition to college. The Center also provides a Learning Contract course for at-risk studen

The Advising Center won an award!!! Thank you to all who nominated us for the Program of Excellence award and to the entire staff of the ADVC for their continuous work for our students and WCU. We are so proud! HUGE shoutout to our fearless leaders, Travis Bulluck (former director) and Mary Fischer (current director) for all they have done and still do for our office. We are nothing without them!

Congrats to the winner of our Transfer Survey drawing! Sawyer Goswick is a Transfer majoring in Environmental Science. Sawyer is really enjoying their classes and also likes to stay busy. Thus far, Sawyer is involved in SGA, Phi Sigma Pi, Student Democracy Coalition, and volunteering with CCESL through the Spark Program.

We wanted to take a moment today and celebrate Richard Gamble who has been with the Advising Center for TEN YEARS!!! Richard is instrumental in the day to day operations here, and is an incredible resource of information for our whole staff. We’ve all gone to Richard multiple times for “quick questions” - HE KNOWS EVERYTHING.

Help us wish him a happy 10 years here! (His anniversary was Feb 1, but with the weather and things, we chose today to celebrate him)
