The Virus Hunters Learning Community, which is taught by Dr. Maria Gainey in Chemistry & Physics, recently had some fun with agar art. In the learning community students are discovering bacteriophages (viruses that infect bacteria). One of the bacterial strains they use to find viruses is orange in color, while the other is green, and this makes a perfect combo for some fall agar art!
