4 Elements Hip Hop Organization - De Anza We are the contemporary, we are the youth; and as agents of our generation, we represent the Hip Hop culture through artistic and activist means.

Through the expression of the 4 Elements of Hip Hop, we replicate and push forth the essential foundation of Hip Hop culture at its core. The written word Hip Hop can be defined, as KrsOne in the Gospel of Hip Hop puts it; “The artistic response to oppression. A way of expression in dance, music word/song. A culture that thrives on creativity and nostalgia. As a musical art form it is the stories

of inner-city life, often with a message, spoken over beats of music. The culture includes Rap and any other venture spawned from the Hip Hop style and culture.”

In our meeting sessions we express this notion through the 4 Elements of Hip Hop which are: Breaking, Dj-ing, Emceeing, and Graffiti Writing. Through these mediums of expression we manifest as Hip Hoppas of the culture.

Hey everybody,

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to give you all an update on the 4 Elements Of Hip Hop Club at De Anza. Despite the challenges brought on during the covid era, I am excited to announce that we are back and stronger than ever.

Thanks to a team of dedicated students, we were able to reactivate the club in the Spring of this year. We are slowly growing again and are committed to spreading the culture of hip hop to the De Anza community once more.

Moving forward, you can stay up to date with our events and activities by following our social media accounts, which you can find in the QR code below. We have some exciting things planned for the fall, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates.

Thank you for your continued support and love. Let's make this upcoming year a successful one for the 4 Elements Of Hip Hop Club at De Anza.

This quote is powerful and it's only a glimpse at the intelligent thoughtful word play Freddy continually shows in his body of work as an MC (Master of Ceremony).
