The North Harris County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 9, 2006. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United

States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization’s Five Point Programmatic

Our Chapter 981 Retreat in August was EVERYTHING! ❤️

We came together to CONNECT. COLLABORATE. GROW. LEAD. AND MAKE AN IMPACT. From the laughter and sisterhood to the learning, planning, team building, and unforgettable moments, the energy in the room reminded us exactly what happens when Sorors come together with a shared purpose.

We didn’t just TALK about sisterhood—we put it into ACTION! 🙌🏾

We strengthened connections.
We shared ideas.
We challenged ourselves.
We laughed…A LOT! 😂
We celebrated one another.
And most importantly, we prepared ourselves for the work ahead.

THE WORK BEGAN JULY 1 AND 31 DAYS LATER THE EXECUTIVE BOARD CAME READY TO WORK.

Take a peek inside our Executive Board Retreat—the energy, ideas, and commitment in the room were undeniable.

We came together to connect.
To listen.
To align.
To dream.
To plan.
And to prepare to serve.

We talked about the communities we serve and the needs we're seeing. We explored our Five-Point Programmatic Thrusts and strategic priorities. We looked at our calendars through a different lens—creating space for collaboration, creativity, and meaningful impact.

And we challenged ourselves to think beyond our individual committees.

The work ahead is significant. But so is the opportunity.

There are communities to serve.
There are voices to hear.
There are gifts to use.
There is a call to social action...24/7!

And this chapter - The North Harris County Alumnae Chapter?

WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED.

Our President, Rosalind L. Kiel, said it best: "Sisterhood IS a verb. So let's Show up. Lift up. Level up!"

And that's exactly what we're doing.
