As spring semester begins, we at Delta Chi would like to recognize the accomplishments and adventures our brothers experienced during Christmas Break.
To start, we would like to congratulate brother McLain Martin on becoming a certified Wilderness First Responder. While the course requirements are mentally and physically challenging, the results outweigh the strenuous hours of preparation. We know how much this means to you and we are proud of you!
Our president Matthew Anderson and his fiance, Hailey Renaud, traveled to central Florida for an oceanside vacation. While there, he and his fiance went fishing on the Banana River. Together, Matt and Hailey traversed the lagoon and caught a large Red Fish! Great job! You two make a great team!
Next, our vice-president Ethan Acker left behind Dahlonega and traveled to south Georgia. While there he stayed with his girlfriend, Grace Edwards, and her family. Enjoying the farmlands of southern Georgia, Ethan took a photo with a baby goat!
Brother Joseph Di Sarli traveled to New York City and while there he proposed to his girlfriend, Izzy King, in the middle of Rockefeller Center! While some of us may have been surprised, all of us are incredibly happy for both of you. Wherever life takes you, we hope both of you have a loving and fulfilling marriage.
Lastly, brothers Benton Lee and Austin Riner went skiing in Vail, Colorado over Christmas Break. They drove 24 hours straight from Georgia to Colorado. From hiking, skiing, to camping, Benton and Austin witnessed everything the freezing Midwest could provide. To commemorate their road trip, Benton and Austin stopped at Badlands National Park and took a photo at the overlook of Little Jerusalem.
While our time off from school may have been short, the accomplishments and adventures we experienced are timeless. The memories we made are priceless; but the memories we will make will be far more valuable. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Break and everyone has a great start to Spring Semester. To all brothers, through your accomplishments, adventures, and close association each of you have shown what it means to be a Brotherhood of a Lifetime.
