The next meeting of the Lumpkin County Bicentennial Book Project will take place on Saturday, May 2, at 10 am in the Lumpkin County Library, Meeting Room A.

Participants will discuss steps to move forward by creating a steering committee to establish goals, deadlines, and better organization for the project. The public is invited to attend and share their input.

Come by the Vickery House on Saturday at 3 pm for a concert by the Four O' Clocks, presented as part of Bear on the Square Mountain Festival!

The Four O' Clocks are a traditional old-time string band out of Atlanta. They will give a concert and talk about their songs and influences. Visitors can also tour the Vickery House and enjoy the current exhibit, On Her Time, In Her View: The personal photography and craft of Dr. Alice V. Sampson-Cordle.
