During Earth Week, Dr. Linda Auker, ENV program director and Associate Professor of Biology, and Dr. Kriszta Sajber, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, gave a presentation on Artificial Intelligence, the environment, and ethics! It was a great example of the kind of interdisciplinary analysis that Environmental Studies students and faculty engage in every day!

We are so proud of Carli one of our Environmental Studies students! She won the Young Professionals Intern of the Year from the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce for her work with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council!

Congratulations to Carli Tabone ‘25, named Intern of the Year at the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 8th Annual Young Professionals Awards ceremony. Carli is an Environmental Studies major with a minor in Biology. She’s been interning with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) since her sophomore year. Carli has worked in the field on trail counter maintenance and in the PEC office. She wrote a grant proposal and received funding for a Tool Lending Library for the PEC and their Trail Affiliates.
