Happy Leadership Monday 💪🏼

Leadership is connectivity. It’s the ability to bring people together, build genuine relationships, and create spaces where everyone feels seen and heard.

It’s not always serious conversations and big speeches. Sometimes it looks like laughter, shared moments, and just being real with your people. The strongest leaders know how to balance purpose with personality.

Because when people feel connected to you, they connect to the vision too.

Leadership can be fun. Leadership can be light. But most importantly, leadership should be felt !

Today we honor the legacy of the late Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, a leader whose life reflected true servant leadership. He dedicated his voice, platform, and influence to the betterment of others, always standing for justice, opportunity, and dignity for all people.

The late Rev. Jesse L. Jackson reminds us that real impact is not measured by power, but by how many lives you uplift along the way. He consistently put community before self, showing that leadership is about service, courage, and believing in a future where everyone has a seat at the table.

Let this be a reminder that leadership is not just about leading, it is about lifting others as you go. 🌍✨

We proudly recognize Erial Smith, M.S., for her outstanding dedication and continued commitment to community impact. As a Program Manager with the Tarrant County Coalition for Peace & Justice, Erial brings exceptional leadership grounded in healthcare operations and nonprofit service.

A distinguished alumna of the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program (Summer 2022), Erial discovered and embraced her passion for mentorship and civic engagement while helping facilitate the very program that helped shape her own journey. Today, she remains a shining example of what it means to uplift others, support future scholars, and advance the mission of empowering the next generation of changemakers.

Thank you, Erial, for your unwavering service, your leadership, and your commitment to making a meaningful difference. Your impact continues to inspire us all.

This week, we are highlight a Conrad Alumna, Starlene Stringer!

Starlene Stringer is an accomplished media professional with more than 30
years of experience. In addition to radio and television broadcasting,
Starlene has worked in advertising, promotions and public relations. She’s
a national best-selling author, an inspirational speaker, wife, mother and a
Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program alum.

We are grateful to alumni who support the program in various ways from internships, interviews, scholarships, and more!
