he American Heart University (AHU) is a value driven corporate university where all AHA staff enjoy access to strategic, value-added learning solutions designed to strengthen the AHA’s capability and accelerate performance toward delivering on our mission. The University is a key pillar within the AHA’s overall workforce strategy. New staff automatically enrolled in AHU as part of their onboarding

process and are required attend certain programs as part of their yearly review process. The university is led by the Director of AHU, who reports to the SVP of Human Resources and with guidance from the Executive Council and Schools of Learning Deans. The value-centric programs involve mainly online training combined with some classroom workshops offered occasionally by certified faculty.
