By combining her studies in Marketing and Accounting, Annabella is preparing to enter the workforce with a strong foundation in creativity, strategy, analytics, and financial decision-making.
During her internship with The Master Connector, a local networking event company, she gained hands-on marketing experience by creating social media content, building vendor partnerships, supporting event coordination, and helping drive attendance and engagement. From developing reels and infographics to analyzing performance metrics and managing event logistics, the experience strengthened her communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
She credits professors Sandra Crawford Williamson and Professor Everidge with helping shape her academic and professional journey. Through courses in promotional strategy, digital marketing, managerial and financial accounting, and individual income taxation, she has learned how to make data-driven decisions and apply classroom concepts in real-world settings.
What has made her DBU experience especially meaningful is learning from professors who bring years of industry experience into the classroom. Their practical insight has helped her understand not only the principles of business, but also how those principles can be used to lead and serve others with excellence.
“My time at DBU has prepared me to enter the Marketing and Accounting job field by equipping me with a well-rounded education that is taught by individuals who have years of real-world experience.”
Beyond professional preparation, DBU’s Christ-centered education has strengthened her faith and equipped her to enter the workplace ready to be a light for Christ.
Her advice to prospective business students is to trust the Lord’s direction and take the next step in faith. Through the Carter School of Business, students can build meaningful relationships, grow in every area of life, and receive an education that prepares them to make a lasting impact.
