CT State Quinebaug Valley QVCC is one of 12 CT community colleges. There are two locations: the main campus in Danielson and a location at Windham Technical High School.

CT State Quinebaug Valley, formerly known as Quinebaug Valley Community College, located in Danielson, CT, awards associate degrees and certificates in more than 50 areas of studies, and also offers short-term career and personal development programs. Today, we celebrate not only our graduates, but also the families, friends, mentors, and loved ones who stood beside them throughout this journey. From late nights and early mornings to words of encouragement and unwavering support, this milestone belongs to all of you, too.

🎓 Today, we celebrated the incredible Class of 2026 at the Connecticut State Community College Quinebaug Valley Commencement Ceremony!

This graduating class represents determination, resilience, and achievement:

• The oldest graduate is 63, and the youngest is 18
• 57% are first-generation college students
• 11 graduates served in the military
• 43 students began their QV journey while still enrolled in high school
• 4 graduates earned a degree or certificate before even receiving their high school diploma this June
• 5 graduates achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA

We are so proud of all our graduates and honored to celebrate this milestone with their families, friends, faculty, and staff. Congratulations, Class of 2026 — your future is bright! ✨🎓

An Evening of Poetry and Celebrationđź“–

Congratulations to all of the student poets recognized at the 19th Annual Julius Sokenu Poetry Awards Celebration hosted by CT State Quinebaug Valley! ✨

The evening was a wonderful celebration of creativity, storytelling, and the powerful voices of our students. We are proud to recognize the award winners for their outstanding poetry in both English and Spanish and grateful to everyone who helped make this annual tradition such a meaningful event.

A special thank you to honored guest poet Stephanie Pacheco, Professors Jon Andersen and Elkin Espitia-Loaiza, and the Quinebaug Valley Cultural Programming Committee for helping make the evening so meaningful and for continuing to bring poetry, arts, culture, and community together at CT State Quinebaug Valley-Willimantic.
