MEET OUR **VICE PRESIDENT** SIDRA IRFAN :)
Hi my name is Sidra Irfan and I am a third year dental student! A little bit about myself~I’m an artist at heart, a healthcare practitioner by profession, and a human rights activist by passion. I thrive on intellectual curiosity, cultural adventures, and my perpetual love for gardening. I find my inspiration in humanity and the wilderness. I live by passion, respect, aspirations and without regrets. My story is a beautiful one, and I consider myself very lucky to have the constant support and love of my family and friends!
As a career changer, my journey to dental school has been anything but linear. Prior to dentistry, I served as a Teach For America corps member where I was a science teacher in an inner city school for 3 years. Being able to ignite the love of learning and impart knowledge and skills to children is one of the most rewarding things a person can do and I hope to continue to do this with pediatric dentistry!

FAVORITE HOLIDAY:
Holi~festival of love/colors (google it-a picture is worth a thousand words and you will know why!) The festival, while having religious roots, has become a pretty secular holiday celebrated with much fervor around the world. It signifies the victory of good over evil~the arrival of spring~bringing in the air the fragrance of flowers and aura of warmth and happiness. It is the time of celebrating together the different colors of life. Sweets, flowers, and color adds to the sacredness of the festival. It brings in the sense of togetherness, freedom, and connectivity. The oneness in the hearts removes misunderstandings and ushers in a feeling of friendliness, love, and joy.
