The Study Abroad Office is committed to strengthening international education at Averett. Our programs are designed to promote cross cultural competence, innovative scholarship, and foreign language acquisition. The Study Abroad office promotes academically-based experiences in support of students' personal, professional, and intellectual development, equipping them with the skills to effectively engage with both local and global communities and to become culturally perceptive citizens.
Our goal is to encourage diverse education abroad opportunities to all Averett University students as well as provide resources and support to faculty members and advisers. Because we strongly believe that study abroad benefits every student regardless of major, we are committed to providing comprehensive information and advising to students before, during, and after their international experience.
