Our Story
The University’s colleges offer diverse educational opportunities to students who may have had to defer continuing their education after high school or after beginning college or may want to continue to a graduate degree but whose lives may not permit conventional college attendance. By collaborating with UMass Dartmouth Online and Continuing Education (OCE), the colleges provide specific programs to students who seek flexibility to achieve their academic goals of taking one course or completing a degree. Courses are conveniently scheduled throughout the calendar year to best meet the needs of online and adult students. Courses are offered face-to-face, in a blended format, and fully online. OCE schedules courses during fall, spring, summer, and also in a winter intersession and summer sessions, assuring support services accommodated to individual needs to meet their academic goals. Hallmarks of Online & Continuing Education are its: Flexible variety of online degree and certificate programs. Flexible learning format, tailored to the needs of adult students. Summer and winter intersession scheduling of courses available for students. Opportunities to explore personal interests through courses. Ease of registration. UMass Dartmouth is committed to this regional community. The University partners with local businesses to provide onsite and online degree programs that develop a more educated and productive workforce. The University’s corporate partnerships help businesses invest in their most important resource, their workforce.
