The Garden Club Federation of PA is sponsoring garden tours around the state on 2 consecutive Saturdays in June. The first Saturday includes 6 gardens from Cumberland/Dauphin Counties (including the garden of Dauphin County Master Gardener Kevin Kelly). The second Saturday includes 5 gardens in Lancaster County. Other counties are participating. See the attached flier for details.

Have you visited the 🖐️Five Senses Garden on the Capital Area Greenbelt Association? It's one of seven Demonstration Gardens, maintained by Master Gardeners of Dauphin County.

At our General Membership Meeting this month, we learned about the various plants and wildlife that call this garden home. Fun fact: the plants placed here are almost entirely native! Cindy and her team try their best to find native plants that engage all five senses, while battling invasive plants (and occasionally animals looking for a tasty snack).

All smiles at our annual Plant Exchange! We traded knowledge and a whopping 225 plants (wow 🫨). Just another perk of becoming a Master Gardener in Dauphin County!

Mulched the Demonstration Gardens at the Extension Office this morning! Our master gardeners beat the heat 🥵 with an extra early 6:30am start. Look at how the 💐 colors POP against the fresh mulch!
