“Recruitment was an overwhelming process. On bid day, I wasn’t sure if being in a sorority was for me, but meeting Milana made me realize what Delta love was all about. Instantly, I felt so comfortable with her, and I knew I always had a friendly face at any event and someone to explore campus with. From late night nachos to our daily sushi runs during prerecruitment, I am so grateful to have her by my side. Without Tri Delta, I wouldn’t have found one of my best friends here at Davis, and I can’t imagine life here without her.”

“Tri Delta is a place full of wonderful women, who value friendship and kindness. With the fear of joining a chapter and not having any friends, it was difficult to feel like I belonged, but my Tri Delta bestie Aislinn made me feel so comfortable in my new home. From trips to Sacramento and SF to just hanging out at each other’s apartments, I couldn’t imagine my college experience any other way. Choosing Tri Delta to be our home provided a sense of comfort that I could find such a great friendship at UC Davis. Coming from two opposite sides of California, Tri Delta kickstarted a friendship I never thought I could have.”

This year our sorority is participating in Derby Days, a week-long philanthropy event which sends all proceeds to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, an institute which has discovered more cancer-causing genes than any other center in the world. Last year Derby Days raised over $1.8 million nationally for cancer research and the Davis community individually contributed $51,000. However, our work has just begun. Currently, cancer is the leading cause of death in people under 85; it does not have to be this way. We believe that cancer will be conquered in our lifetime, and we want to be at the forefront of this battle. The link below will send you to our fundraising page. April 25th 1998, the Italian Supreme Court overturned a r**e case because the court claimed the victim's jeans were "too tight" therefore she had to have helped her perpetrator remove them. In support of abolishing harmful victim blaming, is a global movement that protests destructive behavior and ideas surrounding sexual assault. This past week our philanthropy chair and assistant philanthropy chair went to Memphis, Tennessee to visit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to celebrate The Tridelta Celebration! We thank every Tridelta sister around the world and everyone who has supported our philanthropy event for raising $7.8 million this year! Nothing feels better than knowing that our hard work saves lives!
