We are excited to reach out to you on behalf of The UC Davis Womxn’s Resources and Research Center to promote our WiSE mentoring program. We hope you are able to pass this opportunity to your students.
The Womxn in Science and Engineering Mentoring Program aims to center folx with marginalized genders in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by providing a supportive, gender positive environment in which students work together with mentors to achieve their academic and professional goals. In doing so, the program aspires to help improve gender equity in these fields. We believe that the recruitment and retention of students of underrepresented gender identities (womxn, trans, gender non conforming, genderqueer, etc) is essential to promoting gender equity in STEM; therefore, we encourage students who identify within a marginalized gender identities such as womxn, trans, and genderqueer to apply to the WiSE mentorship program.

Each mentor (UC Davis students and faculty, who are knowledgeable in STEM fields) will be matched with one mentee.
