Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Wright State University is pleased to announce an upcoming "Introduction to Radar Systems" short course.

Course Description: This short course provides an introduction to radar systems and select advanced concepts; covering radar systems, target detection, radar antennas, radar measurements, target signature, clutter, synthetic aperture radar, and bistatic radar. A building-block approach supplemented with real-world examples, discussions, numerical examples, and student-performed hands-on software-based (MATLAB) labs to reinforce student comprehension. The course is ideal for entry-level personnel, those new to radar systems from other disciplines, and technical leads or program managers involved in radar programs. (See attached outline for further details).

Dates & Schedule: The course will run on four consecutive Thursdays in June and July:
11 June
18 June
25 June
2 July
The daily schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Instructor: The course will be taught by Paul Hannen from the WSU Department of Electrical Engineering ([email protected]).

Cost: $1,500

Registration and Payment: Please visit the following website for registration and payment details: https://epay.wright.edu:443/C21810_ustores/web/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCTID=3292&SINGLESTORE=true

Course Contingency: Please note that the offering of this short course is contingent upon adequate enrollment interest.

We encourage you to share this announcement with others in the Dayton area radar community who may benefit from this course.

We hope to see you there!

πŸŒ‰ Engineering design in action!

Students in **ME 1040 Engineering Design with SolidWorks** recently put their cardboard bridges to the test, balancing weight and strength as they worked to hold a target load, not just the most weight possible.

This hands-on challenge is a great example of how CECS students apply design thinking, problem-solving, and real-world engineering principles in the classroom.

Nice job, students! πŸ‘
