Wright State University - Department of Computer Science and Engineering

Wright State University - Department of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Wright State. Twitter: A Master of Science in Computer Science program was established in 1974.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been part of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Wright State University since the college was founded in 1986. Prior to that time the department's programs were organized in the College of Science and Mathematics. Our Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree program has a long history, however; it was established in 1968

- a time when computer science was just becoming recognized as a major discipline in universities across the country. The department built on its strong foundation in computer science to add additional programs over the years. Both our Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and our Master of Science in Computer Engineering programs were established in 1981, and our PhD in Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1986. In recent years, non-degree certificate programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as multiple minors at the undergraduate level, have also been added.
