Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was organized on November 12, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana, by seven young educators: Mary Lou Allison Gardner Little, Dorothy Hanley Whiteside, Vivian Irene White Marbury, Nannie Mae Gahn Johnson, Hattie Mae Annette Dulin Redford, Bessie Mae Downey Rhoades Martin, and Cubena McClure. We became a national collegiate sorority on December 30, 1929, when the Alpha Chapter was chartered at Butler University. What a time!!! On March 8th 2025 Epsilon Kappa Sigma Philo Affiliate of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority INC celebrated the induction of two new members. These ladies have shown great character, high poise, positive spirit, true dedication, and real friendship. We are so blessed to have you wonderful ladies.
