Fall 2026 is shaping up to be a record-breaking term for Sinclair College.
Strong enrollment and new opportunities for students across the Dayton region are driving our continued growth.

We see a 3% rise in returning students, showing their trust in our institution and dedication to their ongoing education. College Credit Plus (CCP) enrollment has grown by 5%, giving more high school students a head start on their college journey. We have also welcomed 9% more new adult learners, ages 25 and up, who are choosing Sinclair to advance their careers and achieve their goals.

This fall, we introduce 4 new programs designed to meet the workforce needs of our community and support student success:

Remote Sensing in the Built Environment (Certificate)

Critical Care Paramedic (Short-Term Certificate)

Public Administration (Short-Term Certificate)

Solar Energy Systems & Installation (Short-Term Certificate)

Our commitment to student success has also earned us national recognition as a Top 25 community college by the Aspen Institute. With these new programs, strong workforce partnerships, and expanded support services such as childcare and the Resiliency Center, we are helping more students achieve their goals and build brighter futures.

From surviving sudden cardiac arrest to empowering the next generation of lifesavers.
In August 2017, Springboro resident Jim Westendorf went for a routine run after work. He suffered sudden cardiac arrest. Thanks to swift action from bystanders and the incredible Clearcreek Township first responders, Jim survived a life-threatening crisis.
Grateful for a second chance at life, Jim and his wife, Lisa Dennison, turned their gratitude into action. Though neither attended Sinclair, they established the Westendorf Have a Heart Foundation Scholarship at the Sinclair Foundation in 2021 to annually support local first responders learning their trade right here in our community.
The Impact So Far:
$12,500 awarded in scholarships
15 student recipients supported on their path to becoming EMTs and first responders
This week, as a new cohort of Sinclair EMT students step into Sinclair’s Health Sciences Center (Building 14) for their very first CPR and AED lab, Jim and Lisa are visiting campus to share their story, kick off the semester, and remind these future heroes just how vital their training truly is for those in our community.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Fall Conference a success. Together, we reaffirmed that Sinclair’s mission is about more than getting students into the workforce. We are dedicated to constructing brighter futures, strengthening our community, and supporting every individual as they pursue meaningful lives.

During the conference, Dr. Steven Johnson, Sinclair’s president, shared how our work and plans extend beyond workforce development. Through dedicated strategies, we help students each day achieve their goals and prepare for careers that make a real difference in the Dayton region.

We look forward to supporting our students and working together to build a stronger Sinclair and a brighter future for the Dayton region.

Sinclair is proud to partner with the Omega Community and the Hope Center to support the Sinclair Rising Leaders Camp, an initiative that empowers youth across the greater Dayton area. Through our Sinclair Promise 2030 initiative, we provide 5th- and 6th-grade students with valuable leadership experiences and encourage a lifelong love of learning. Together, we are helping the next generation of leaders dream bigger and achieve more.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Sinclair Community College have joined forces to shape the next era of aviation technology.

This joint effort will focus on developing uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), supporting new ways to deliver medical supplies, advance emergency response, and strengthen connections across our region.

Together, CVG and Sinclair are leading the way for innovation, workforce development, and economic growth in the Ohio River Valley and beyond. The sky is no longer the limit!
