Representation means so much. When sharing stories and depicting society in films, it’s incomplete if it does not represent the diversity of a community. This goes a long way to making those who are LGBTQIA+ feel seen and sense of belonging in families, schools, and jobs.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. It is a day to remember those of us who came before us.
This morning we also mourn the losses of those at Club Q in Colorado Springs from a senseless act of violence.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, an annual observance that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
We will be holding an online vigil on our Twitter starting at 8am ET.

Trans Youth Holiday Party – December 8, 2022

What is it? A holiday party for trans grades 7-12 at the Green Bay Titletown District form 6:00 – 8:00, Thursday December 8. It includes free passes for tubing, ice skating, hot chocolate, snacks a place to meet and warm up.

Who is sponsoring it? BATYA (Bay Area Trans Youth Alliance), Dave and Busters, the Green Bay Packers and the Titletown District.

What does it cost? There is no charge, but trans youth need to pre-register by emailing [email protected] by no later than Dec. 1. Information regarding where to meet will be forwarded to those who are pre-registered one week prior to the party.

What about family, friends, and allies? The party, free passes and snacks are just for trans youth. Family, friends, and allies are welcome to meet the trans youth on the tubing hill and ice-skating rink.

What else should I know? – Utilizing the chaperones, who are professional counselors and educators with background checks from the monthly Drop Ins at Dave & Busters this will be a fully chaperoned event.

Happy Indigenous People’s Day!

Oneida is an indigenous sovereign nation with a proud and dignified history of government. The Oneida Nation’s fundamental principles of government influenced the framers of the U.S. Constitution. The Oneida Nation and other Indigenous sovereign nations, specifically in our community the Ho-Chunk and Menominee nations, are the original caretakers of this land. The Treaty of 1838 established the Oneida Nation reservation with 65,432 acres of land.

It's and today we're celebrating our sister and Golden Globe winner, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. 🌻

Born in Newark, New Jersey to an African American mother and a father of half Puerto Rican and half African American descent, Michaela Jaé is the 1st transgender actor to win a Golden Globe - for their starring role in POSE.

While Latinx Heritage Month (also known as Hispanic Heritage Month) is a celebration of Latinx achievements and stories, Afro-Latinx people have historically been overlooked. As a Black-led organization, we at MPJI send love to our trans Afro-Latinx siblings and wish everyone celebrating a Happy Latinx History Month!
