✨ Student Awards Ceremony 2026 ✨

At Agnes Scott College, our students lead student organizations, volunteer in our Decatur and Atlanta communities and contribute greatly to every part of our institution.

To shout out a few special highlights, we had 9 students receive the President’s Community Engagement Award this year, the most EVER since we created the award. Many student workers received awards for their dedication to multiple offices across campus, including two of our CLES students who are only juniors! Gué Pardue Hudson was in attendance last night, our former Dean of the College for over 30 years and our office namesake.

To our seniors, we are so proud of the people you’ve become during your time at ASC, and we cannot wait to see how you lead and contribute in the world.

If you want a glimpse of what Agnes Scott College is really like, this is it. Our amazing Interfaith Council and Interfaith Bridge-building Leaders hosted our second annual “Dialogue Dinner: Where Flowers Bloom, So Does Hope.” We heard from 3 amazing speakers who uplifted us and challenged us. They encouraged us to not only be hopeful, but that this interfaith work can make real change if we invest in our relationships with one another. As one of our speakers said, the bloom is just the beginning of the flower’s hope, the way it pollinates other flowers, the entire garden, is the true purpose of the flower.

We want to thank all of our students, administration, staff, faculty and community members who attended last night. After tripling in size after just 2 years, y’all come back next year for another amazing event.

Our new Interfaith Bridge-building Leaders were invited to spend the day at the Georgia State Capitol for Dekalb Day. Our Scottie, Chloe Weems, is an intern for Senator Jackson and graciously escorted us around, introducing us to Dekalb County leaders. Thank you to everyone who took time to speak with us and to our amazing Scottie who hosted us!

Do you have a plan to vote this PSC election? 🗳️💜

Look no further! Scottie’s Vote Coalition and Student Government Association are doing a collab “Mosey to the Polls”! We will be walking with students on Election Day — November 4th from 1-2pm est — so that the ASC community can go out and vote.

We will be serving Moes Burritos at Luchsinger Lounge in the Alston Campus Center. Make sure to come with your ID (NOT student ID) in order to vote. We can’t wait to see you all there! 🎉
