Where will our class of '29 scotties be going this spring? Some of them will be in South Carolina, exploring holistic, multidimensional health in the Gullah corridor . Did you know that South Carolina still has a strong Gullah influence, most notably in food and basket-weaving. The Gullah people are descendants of African slaves brought from West Africa to work and harvest in the many plantations that dotted the state. Sweetgrass baskets are among the most popular cultural souvenir items guests bring back with them when visiting.

Where will our class of '29 scotties be going this spring? Some of them will be in Grenada, reimagining the Caribbean beyond beaches to global realities. Fun fact, Grenada is known as the spice island and is the world's second-largest producer of nutmeg. It also is a producer of mace, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.

Where will our class of '29 scotties be going this spring? Some of them will be in Puerto Rico, learning about astronomy and local communities. Fun fact, located in Puerto Rico is the Arecibo Observatory which was once the world's largest single-aperture telescope ever constructed. It played a crucial role in radar astronomy and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
