Luther College Aurora

Aurora is one of five auditioned choral ensembles at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

Established in 1981, the group is comprised of sopranos and altos, selected each fall by audition.

This past weekend Aurora and Collegiate Chorale to have a friendsgiving celebration at the lovely Dr. Tam’s house!! The members of both choir participated in games all while enjoying some delicious food!!

Hi Barbie!!

This week Aurora partnered with Norskkor to dress up as the ultimate duo, Barbie and Ken!
These singers went all out to find the perfect pink outfits!

Happy Halloween from Aurora!! 🎃

These lovely singers have been working hard to prepare for Christmas at Luther while also having some fun!! Today we celebrated by having a section costume competition. The sections got creative, dressing as characters from Despicable Me, Disney princesses, and Mr. Clean (featuring Dr. Tam as Wednesday Addams)!!

This busy blue group just finished their 3rd performance in 5 days!

This past weekend we took a break from our Paideia research papers and took a mini tour around the community. On Saturday we payed a visit to Arlin Falck assisted living center (not pictured) and Sunday we sang during worship at Good Shepard.

Today, (international woman’s day!) We sang one of our pieces at chapel.

It’s time for Christmas at luther! This years theme is the Gifts they gave Emmanuel. We are so pumped to perform this weekend and hope to see you there!

Happy belated Halloween from Aurora! Yesterday we celebrated by having a costume contest among sections. The groups got creative; we had lumberjacks, midwestern dads, parents accompanying kids trick or treating, and pirate cats!
