Fraters,

It's come to our attention the undergraduate chapter is under severe financial strain right now, and fighting to keep their charter. They are struggling to meet financial obligations due to being owed tons of money, half of which is from recent alumni - this would be anyone who had a Greekbill account and has since graduated NIU or left.

Please be aware the chapter is starting collection proceedings in an attempt to collect these debts. These debts will be sent to the collection agency Greekbill contracts with. If you owe money, I highly recommend paying it off now. You'll avoid having a collection agency after you and also be helping to get the undergraduate chapter out of a dire situation.

They are trying to collect as much as possible by 01 Mar. Please login to your account and make your payments ASAP or reach out Derrick Lippner to set-up some sort of payment schedule.

At the request of the undergraduate chapter, in the coming days we will be reviewing the list of "alumni" who have outstanding debts, removing their status as alumni with the Delta-Eta chapter, as being delinquent renders you a "deactivated member", and will notify TKE HQ to remove them from the International Membership Roster per section Article II Section 6 & 8 of Delta-Eta constitution and bylaws. This will bar you from attending any Delta-Eta chapter, Delta-Eta Alumni, or TKE sponsored events. If you wish to avoid this, please make your payments.

Sad news to share: Frater Mark Bennecke lost his younger brother, Austin, last week. Let’s all keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.

STERLING- Austin Leigh Bennecke, 27, of Sterling, died October 27, 2017. Austin was born August 5, 1990 in Sterling, the son of Mark Bennecke and Shelia Bennecke. Tugs Action: First Round: TKE (5) defeated Sigma Nu (4) in three ropes today, going 23 minutes on the third rope. They will face SAE (1) next.

This is the first 1st Round win for the Chapter in almost a decade (someone double check this) - EDIT: This marks the third year of first round wins for the chapter. Fantastic work guys!
