Sigma Alpha Mu - Gamma Lambda We are Sigma Alpha Mu, Gamma Lambda chapter at Northern Illinois University, a social fraternity based on the pillars of trust, brotherhood, and respect.

We are the Sigma Alpha Mu social fraternity, Gamma Lambda chapter, also known as Sammys. Chartered in 1982, we are among the oldest continuing social fraternity chapters at Northern Illinois University. We are a fraternity of individuals looking to do something more and be something better. We exist to enhance the University experience by providing Social, Service, and Leadership opportunities to

our members. We are the “home away from home” to our fraternity “family” and have created such an atmosphere by living up to our principles of Trust, Brotherhood, and Respect. We invite you to learn more about the chapter, its members, and its accomplishments by further exploring our website.
