NIU Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.

NIU Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority Inc. Kappa Phi Lambda is an Asian-interest sorority dedicated to promoting sisterhood, service and cultural diversity.

Six hard-working and dedicated young women, in an effort to provide more options to the women of Northern Illinois University, embarked on a quest for sisterhood through Kappa Phi Lambda. These Women strived for a vehicle by which they could accomplish their goals and visions of providing community service, promoting Asian and multi cultural awareness, and maintaining a high standard of academic e

xcellence. Yocca Wong, Michelle Anilao, Vincci Lau, Heather Skalski, Jennie Lin, and Elenor Beltran experience many obstacles over the course of their journey but preserved and emerged victorious. As the Charter Class Sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda at Northern Illinois University, they vow to maintain and enrich the legacy, which they hold dear to their hearts.

I was interested in sisterhood, and having that long lasting friendship beyond college, and I found that with Kappa Phi Lambda. Not only that but I love doing community service and learning about other cultures and traditions, as I like be more wise about things I donโ€™t really know.
