Stetson University ACM Welcome to Stetson's Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) page! We have many ideas, which we are in the process of implementing over the next year.

We attempt to encourage and enhance interest in and understanding of the concepts of computer operations and their development, and to explore and promote an understanding both within the organization and the local community of the importance of computers in our modern society. Naturally, we would like to attend nearby ACM events, such as competitions and conventions, as well as implement some of

our own:

-Attract more guest speakers to our university
-Develop a team for collegiate programming competitions
-Organize trips to local high technology businesses and industries
-Spread interest and awareness about computers to the campus and community
-Conduct more programming contests of our own

We are the Stetson University chapter in DeLand, FL. We are mainly represented by students of three majors at Stetson: Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Digital Arts. However, we welcome computer enthusiasts of all fields.
