At Ohio Wesleyan University, you will it find a challenge not to run into a Theta. Members of our chapter are involved in varsity athletics, music, theatre, community service activities such as Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, and WCSA, as well as numerous departmental honor societies. Within our chapter, the sisters at Kappa Alph
a Theta participate in an annual sisterhood retreat, chapter dinners once a month, broomball games against other sororities, and sisterhood and social events throughout each semester. OWU (a male beauty pageant) in the fall, and Kats and Bats ( a whiffle ball tournament)in the spring. The money raised from theses events directly benefits the Delaware chapter of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), which is Kappa Alpha Theta’s national philanthropy. For the 2008 school year, Gamma deuteron was awarded the Silver Kite Award, the fraternities second highest honor, as well as the Improvement in Financial Operations under $75,000 at the biannual Grand Convention. We were also awarded the prestigious Chapter Excellence Award, Courtice Award, Greek Scholar Award, and Chapter Involvement Award from the Ohio Wesleyan Greek Awards in 2008. In 2010, we were awarded the Bronze Kite at Grand Convention, as well as the Chapter Involvement Award and Courtice Award at the Ohio Wesleyan Greek Awards. http://instagram.com/owutheta
