And before kickoff, join Phi Delta Theta for Steps for Service, a stair climb honoring firefighters who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, to support the fraternity's annual charity, the Live Like Lou Foundation, which supports families affected by ALS, as well as the Bryan Williams Legacy Scholarship, created in memory of the Delaware and Marion County firefighter to provide scholarships to eligible individuals planning careers in public service.

History is being made at Ohio Wesleyan.

In FY2026, 5,300 alumni, parents and friends invested a record $94 million in Ohio Wesleyan University, the largest year of philanthropic support in our history.

That generosity is helping fuel an exciting new chapter for OWU, supporting opportunities that will shape the student experience for generations to come, from endowed scholarships and OWU Connection experiences to faculty excellence, first-generation student success and the new Conrades School of Engineering.

Bestselling author, award-winning journalist and cultural historian Wil Haygood will explore the question, “What does a century of Black cinema teach us about American history?” during a special reading from his acclaimed book, Colorization: One Hundred Years of Black Films in a White World, at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Haygood’s groundbreaking history of Black cinema examines the struggles and triumphs of Black filmmakers, actors and artists, and the ways their stories reflect Black culture, racism and the Civil Rights movement.
